With sleeve art that melds William Shatners mug onto the bodies of the Furious Five in an outer space version of the iconic "The Message" artwork, you'd be forgiven for thinking that "Shatnereffekt One" was the novelty hit of the year. Well it is, but it's a whole lot more than that too. This record has been causing a stir on some of the most influential dancefloors in London recently, most obviously for it's amazing Italo version of the aforementioned Electro classic. It's been getting rapid plays on Radio 1, covered in Dazed & Confused and it's basically a certified party-starter on wax. It's the kind of thing that definitely shouldn't work, but you'll find it impossible not to love. But Shatnereffekt also includes some "serious" music. That's serious meaning serious, and serious meaning good. So all in all it's really serious, and it's all produced by Datassette of Ai fame, under this bastard alias for the more straight forward dancing dude inside him (i think). We whole heartedly recommend this record!
