Alesis Multimix 6FX

The Multimix 6FX is a fantastically compact mixer with tons of desirable features for a musician with limited space in the studio or for a performer that wants a mixer small enough to take out on the road regularly.

The MultiMix is loaded with features for such a small and affordable mixer. It has 2 mono channels and two stereo channels, 3 band EQ on each of those channels, 1/4" balanced inputs and outputs, a headphone output for monitoring and as you've probably guessed, the 6FX in the name denotes the built in 28-bit digital effects processor that this mixer features.  It has over 100 preset effects that include the usual suspects of delay, reverb, flanger, chorus and so on but more interestingly it also features pitch effects and multieffects for those amongst you who want to get a bit more creative. Basically this bit of kit does an awful lot for a sub £100 mixer.

The MultiMix 6FX would be the perfect solution for a musician that wants to integrate a couple of bits of hardware into their live setup without having to cart around a wieghty and cumbersome mixing console. Equally it would be a great solution in the studio if you're looking to do something similar. With tons of effects, all the requisite features expect and a solid build quality the MultiMix 6FX is unbelievably good value and gets a thumbs up from us!
