The Yamaha MG166 CX USB provides an awesome amount of features packed into a compact and lightweight desk.
There is no shortage of inputs with 10 great sounding mic pre-amps(as expected from Yamaha) and 16 channels and to keep you entertained, also featured are the less common pre-channel compressors which are usually found on higher end mixers, a great addition for the user.
Worth mentioning is the EQ system in place, each channel has its own designated EQ section, along with sweepable mids on the first 8 channels, which leaves alot of room for creating your desired sound.
The built in digital mutli-effects unit finishes of this mixer nicely, each effect from echo, chorus, flange and phaser has adjustable parameters to allow great scope for user interaction, the effects can be usefully assigned to the AUX sends / groups or the main out.
