Heavens above! A fully analogue synthesiser that I won't have to remortgage my house for or, perhaps, resort to illegal activities to afford? Yes, that's right, you can now own a fully analogue synth from none other than the designer of the Pro-One, Dave Smith, for a ridiculously meagre sum. Ladies and gentlemen, we present the Mopho.
A compact and incredibly cute desktop module, the Mopho packs two oscillators (each with a sub-oscillator for maximum low-end devastation), a sequencer, an arpeggiator, an external audio input and more modulation possibilities than we have time to explain into its incredibly small chassis. It's essentially a one voice Prophet '08 and you can also use it as an expander if you already own either a Tetra or the aforementioned Prophet. This also allows for a pretty logical upgrade path. Bored with your mono-synth? Just bolt on a Tetra and you have a six-voice poly-synth! As with all the DSI gear, it sounds incredible. Whether this is your first foray into synths or you're an experienced programmer you will love the Mopho. It's as essential as this stuff gets!
