Allen and Heath do mixers and they do them REALLY well. A great British company with roots going back to the early 1970's and the classic day of Rock and Roll recording technology, they've continues to evolve and change with time moving into new markets (DJ Mixers and USB Controllers and live Digital Mixing) and keeping things fresh.
It's fair to say they completely blindsided the market leaders of the time (Pioneer, Vestax, Stanton) when they released their built-like-a-tank xone DJ series where the focus was entirely on sound quality and highly useable and enjoyable mixers that seemed to come out of nowhere and then be everywhere at once.
Some clever marketing and hook ups with the more Tech obsessed DJ's (Chris Leibling and some guy called Ritchie Hawtin) have meant that they've continued to increase their scope as well as retaining their traditional Live Sound PA business - a pretty tough act to pull off.
Longtime UK sales manager Martin Daley is know in the business as a bit of a rambling storyteller but he's an old pall of Rubadub so we'll let him off and not call him a gobshite. Oops! Sorry Martin!
