BIAS (or Berkley Integrated Audio Systems to give them their Sunday name) are based in California (which is significantly better than being based in Slough) and are mostly know for their Mac based Audio Editing application Peak.

Back in the early 1990's, their application, Deck, was one of the first reliable Multitrack Recorders to work on the Mac (giving a whopping 4 tracks of playback at a time!!!!) but their biggest release was Peak. Originally designed as a way of getting Samples in and out of Hardware Samplers about a million years before USB....and Software made the Hardware Sampler got he way of the Do Do) it's now used by everybody from the home recording musician who wants to tidy up their finished recordings to Sony PlayStation Game Authors who need specialist Timecode handling.

Their expertise also extends to Noise Reduction (Sound Soap) and other advanced Plug Ins (which can run in other Applications as well as Peak) providing a full Audio Toolbox for recording musicans.
