One of the smaller US based Sound Card manufacturers, Echo Audio have always focussed more on sound quality than adding too many features to their products.

The original (and oddly named) Layla and Gina cards punched WAY above their weight over 10 years ago when everyone was still using 16 bit convertors and even today they are regarded as being amongst the best sounding and most reliable in their class.

They are also still one of only a handful of companies who have the expertise to embrace other formats than USB and Firewire, producing PCI Express and PCI versions of many of their interfaces for laptop users.
