The title track has the producer link up with Young Echo’s O$VMV$M to create a piece of strange beauty, its jangling loops and thick bass hits recalling some of James Blake’s early work for Hessle. ‘Lionel’s Dub’ is a similarly somnambulant thing that obliquely references Jan Jelinek, while ‘Hot Blooded’ and ‘Hanging With The Birds’ are bassy techno numbers that simultaneously eschew the dancefloor.
