Rubadub's Review
Originally released on Cajual in 1995, "Le Fusion" comprises of three untitled tracks of twisted Chicago house music. A1 pairs Gemini’s signature edgy house bump with demonic wooden licks and frantic vocals in a sherm-stick fuelled blast of nightclub excess. The eagle eared amongst you will recall a seriously twisted Jamal Moss edit of this wrecking total havoc at the White Hotel last year. "Untitled II" is a crazed jacker recalling the deranged minds of Poindextor, Lil Louis, Robert Armani et al. Drum machines swung to oblivion as a nagging acid pulse ricochets through the beats, inflicting a wrecking ball of damage to any dancefloor. The final untitled track re-uses the vocals from "II" but adds sensuous pad stabs and a totally different drum palette and rhythm. Storming stuff from a true innovator.
